Relationship with Study Abroad: My relationship with Study Abroad started in 2013 when I was awarded a scholarship from the Canadian government to participate in the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program. In particular, in this program, I went to Saint Mary's University in Halifax (Canada) to develop research on the connection between digital technologies and social equality, democracy, and education. Since then, I have been interested in investigating the possible learnings abroad, and the cultural and linguistic conflicts that participants of study abroad face.
Envisioned Contribution to GC-SARA: I hope to foster connections between Brasil and international institutions to reflect on study abroad practices, create new opportunities for Brazilian students to participate in study abroad programs, open doors to events on study abroad in Brasil, also to engage in researches that focus on the experiences participants from the Global South face while participating in study abroad programs.
